Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 7, 2026
TL;DR: Your journal entries stay on YOUR device. We don't collect, store, or share your personal data. Ever.
Overview
One Line ("we", "our", or "the app") is a minimalist journaling application built with privacy at its core. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use our app.
Data Collection
What We Collect
- Journal Entries: Stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. We have no servers and cannot access your entries.
- App Preferences: Language settings, notification preferences, and theme choices - all stored locally.
- Purchase Information: When you purchase Pro features, RevenueCat (our payment processor) securely handles transaction data. See Third-Party Services below.
What We DON'T Collect
- ❌ Personal information (name, email, phone number)
- ❌ Location data
- ❌ Browsing history or usage analytics
- ❌ Advertising identifiers
- ❌ Device fingerprinting data
Data Storage
All your data is stored exclusively on your device using:
- AsyncStorage: For journal entries and app settings (free tier)
- Device Keychain/Keystore: For biometric authentication (Pro feature)
We have no cloud servers. Your journal entries never leave your device unless you manually export them via PDF (Pro feature).
Data Security

- No Transmission: Since data never leaves your device, there's no risk of interception
- Device Security: Your data security depends on your device's security (passcode, encryption)
